Ethandweni Childrens Home
Ethandweni Childrens Home, established in 1995, is a community-based non-profit orphanage providing full-time care, rehabilitation and support to orphaned, vulnerable, abandoned, neglected, and abused children within the Matobo area of Zimbabwe.
We strive to create a warm, loving and homely environment for all our children placed in our care. Ethandweni Childrens Home supports up to 48 children aged between new born and 18 years old.
Whilst we create a safe and stable place for our children, our ultimate aim is to reunite children with their family or extended family, should circumstances permit. However, not all children can be returned and, therefore, remain in our loving care.
Ethandweni’s focus is to ensure that all the needs and rights of our children are met, including:
- A Prejudice Free Environment
- A Balanced and Nutritional Diet
- Education Through Local Primary and Secondary Schools
- Psychosocial Support
- Spiritual Development
- Familial and Structure from Our Dedicated Team Who Provide Ongoing Care And Support
- Recreational, Life-Skills and Extra-Curricular Programs
